Beautiful world

Last week, I discovered our world tuesday and was blown away by the beauty of the photos there - and the beauty of our world. It made my day, and it will do again today.
Peter Gaymann posted last week about the 'love padlocks' in Cologne, and by chance I came along there last Saturday. This is what I want to share today.
Nobody knows who started it, but along the big bridge that crosses th Rhine and leads directly to the Cologne main station and the Dome of Cologne, lovers attached padlocks with their names. Meanwhile, there are thousands and thousands, showing their commitment to everlasting love. Imagine, each padlock tells a complete (love) story! Here are a few of them.

They come from all around the world ... sie kommen von überall her ...

some didn't seem to get the point ... manche haben das Prinzip wohl nicht ganz verstanden ...

some tell a different story ... einige erzählen eine ganz andere Geschichte ...

The bridge doesn't care about gender ... der Brücke ist das Geschlecht ganz egal ...

and even threesomes. und sogar Dreier-Pärchen.

So much love! But not always with a happy end ... So viel Liebe! Aber nicht immer mit einem Happy End ...

How cool and what a cute idea. The padlock have a special meaning to each one of them. I love the first shot, showing the bridge and church. Lovely photos!

A blog friend recently visited France and added a padlock to the mix. I'll send her your link.
