10 minutes in Africa

My friend Margot is going to Myanmar/ Burma (isn't that incredible?). She needed a photo crash course for taking exotic pictures, especially whe wanted to learn more about shooting buildings and interior details. So I came up with a really crazy idea: We went to Brühl, a small town outside of Cologne, where Phantasialand is located, imagine it a bit like Disneyland, just smaller. There are two hotels, one in African style and the other one you'll see tomorrow here. We had the best light and soooo much fun. I know, Disneyland sounds awful, but those hotels are really nice, and the food is tasty! It was like a short trip to Africa. Just didn't heal my wanderlust ...

Meine Freundin Margot fährt unglaublicherweise demnächst nach Myanmar/ Burma und wollte einen Foto-Crashkurs. Diesmal stande Gebäude und Interior-Details auf ihrer Wunschliste, möglichst in einer exotischen Kulisse. Mir ist schließlich etwas wirklich Schräges eingefallen: Wir sind nach Brühl bei Köln gefahren, wo es neben dem Phantasialand zwei Hotels gibt, dieses im Stil von Afrika, und ein zweites, das Ihr morgen hier sehen werdet. Wir hatten wunderbares Licht und unglaublich viel Spass. Ich bin kein Phantasialand-Fan, aber die Hotels sind wirklich schön gemacht, und das Essen ist sehr lecker! Leider hat diese Kurztrip nach Afrika mein Fernweh nicht geheilt, eher im Gegenteil ...
