Monday evening macro



Yesterday, I learned how to open up a pomegranate without all the mess and juice splashing around. Cut off the top, and you'll see different chambers, separated by membranes. Cut along the membranes and then press from the inside to the outside. So easy - and you can see the fruit in all its beauty and opulence!

Gestern habe ich gelernt, wie man einen Granatapfel ohne Schweinerei und herumspritzenden Saft öffnet ... Den oberen Teil abschneiden, und dann seht Ihr, dass der Granatapfel in unterschiedliche Kammern aufgeteilt ist, die von Membranen getrennt sind. Die Schale entlang der Membrane einschneiden und dann von innen nach außen aufdrücken. Ganz einfach - und dann sieht man die Frucht in all ihrer Schönheit und Üppigkeit!

Liebe Katrin,
wunderbare Bilder von einem meiner Lieblings-"Öbste". Und den hatte ich noch garnicht vor der Linse, den Granatapfel, fällt mir da gerade auf. Das muss sich ändern.

Love the macro...but tell me...how do you use pomegranates besides in salads? I know you must have some amazing recipe...please do tell. xo
