Monday morning macro

I'm sure I had a close-up of a romanesco broccoli here on my blog before, because it's one of the most amazing vegetables. It's pure math - and beautiful. It's a fractal, too, which means that it's composed of smaller copies of itself. I learned last week that I'm going to give a speech about fractal medicine in October, so when I found a romanesco on the market I new what I'd have for lunch ...
_____

Absolutely gorgeous. Good luck with your talk. Several years ago I studied fractals and tried to create some of my own. What you have found in nature is much more impressive.
