Happy adventures: Adora

 

 Some weeks ago, I posted the illustration 'faded' for the illustration friday project. It was kind of an finger exercise for a new project which is called 'happy adventures'. It is (and will be) a serie of childrens portraits in a fairytale world, with animals, larger than the children, happy colours and the idea of showing the children travelling through happy adventures. So it was more than a funny coincidence when Hanan Levin contacted me and asked me to create a portrait of his daughter. He is the dedicated father of a beautiful little girl called Adora and started a project called growababy. com, where posts nearly daily portraits from artists all over the world, based on photos of his little daughter. Such a sweet idea. And here's my first comissioned portrait: Adora's happy adventure. Doesn't it look like a perfect one?

Vor einigen Wochen habe ich die Illustration 'faded' für das illustration friday Projekt gepostet. Es war eine Art Fingerübung für eine neue Serie von Illustrationen, die 'happy adventures', also 'fröhliche Abenteuer' heißt. Es ist (und wird sein) eine Serie von Kinderportraits, die die Kinder in einer Märchenwelt mit Tieren zeigt, die viel größer sind als sie selbst, mit fröhlichen Farben und auf der Reise zu fröhlichen Abenteuern. Deshalb war es mehr als ein Zufall, dass mich Hanan Levin kontaktiert hat, der ein einzigartiges Projekt ins Leben gerufen hat: Fast täglich postet er auf growababy. com ein Portrait von seiner süßen kleinen Tochter Adora, die Künstler aus aller Welt kreieren, basierend auf Fotos von Adora. Eine wirklich süße Idee. Und hier ist mein erstes Auftrags-Portrait: Adora auf ihrem happy adventure. Sieht es nicht nach einem vollkommenen fröhlichen Abenteuer aus?
