Wind of Change

A few years ago, I visited the cathedral in Chartres. There is a famous labyrinth, which you enter to be lead in circles and curls until you reach its core. I thought that would be the idea behind a labyrinth: to reach the center. But standing there gave me a complete new perspective: Having reached the center means that now you have to make the decision to turn around and to go into a new direction, from immersion back into life.

Today the universe decided that a big assignment (which I considered to be kind of a mission) will not take place. And a few hours later, it sent another one, which will lead into a complete different direction. Do I have reached the core, and finally new ways will unfold before my eyes?

Ich war vor ein paar Jahren in Chartres. Es gibt dort ein sehr bekanntes Labyrinth, das einen in Kreisen und Schleifen ins Zentrum führt. Ich dachte, das wäre die Idee dahinter: ins Zentrum zu gelangen. Aber dort zu stehen verändert die Perspektive, denn eigentlich geht es um die anschließende Entscheidung sich umzudrehen und in einer neuen Richtung weiter zu gehen. Von nach innen gerichteter Versenkung raus ins Leben.
Heute hat das Universum entschieden, dass ein großes Projekt (das ich sogar als eine Art Mission betrachtet hatte) nicht stattfinden wird. Einige Stunden später kam dafür ein neues Projekt, das mich in eine ganz andere Richtung führen wird. Habe ich also das Zentrum erreicht, und werden sich jetzt neue Wege sanft vor meinen Augen entrollen?
