From draft to design

I already told you about the fabulous new website we're working on. The task was to explain and show Barbara's new coaching concept 'empathic business'. For the last part, I decided to create a laboratory to show how heart and brain together form an individual 'solution'. This is the draft - and it was a lot of fun to illustrate it. I love laboratories and test tubes - and since it's the last of 8 illustrations, I integrated as gimmicks part of the other illustrations, the skull and the rocket, which has a special meaning. Nico did an amazing job with animating the fluids in the test tubes - the website will soon be online. Can't wait.

Ich habe Euch schon von der tollen neuen Webseite erzählt, an der wir arbeiten. Aufgabe war es, Barbaras neues Coachingkonzept 'empathic business' zu erklären und zu illustrieren. Für den letzten Teil davon habe ich mich für ein Labor als visuelle Metapher entschieden, um zu zeigen, wie Herz und Hirn zu einer individuellen 'Lösung' zusammenfließen. Dies hier ist die Entwurfsskizze - und die Illustration hat einen Riesenspass gemacht. Ich liebe Labors und Reagenzgläser und den ganzen Kram - und  da es die letzte von insgesamt 8 Illustrationen ist, habe ich als Gimmicks Elemente aus anderen Illustrationen verwendet, nämlich den Totenkopf und die Rakete, die noch eine besondere Bedeutung hat. Nico hat die Flüssigkeiten in den Reagenzgläsern noch meisterhaft animiert - die Webseite wird bald online sein. Ich kann es kaum abwarten.
