Artist's studio: Wolfgang Peter

The only disadvantage of having an own exhibition during the 'Open Studios' is not being able to visit all the other artists in Cologne. At least I could visit some of my neighbours in the ART FACTORY. This is the studio of Wolfgang Peter; I loved his work the first time I saw it but didn't dare to ask whether I might take some pictures. This time, I did. 

My favourites are the little boxes. 'Hope' with some dry earth crumbs and dried roses. 'Utopia' with the words 'I would like to exchange man against what he considers himself to be'. 

Tomorrow's another chance to visit Wolfgang and hundreds of other artists in Cologne, and during the next two weekends, more studios have opened!

Der einzige Nachteil, selbst während der 'Offenen Ateliers' auszustellen ist, dass ich nicht all die anderen Ateliers in Köln besuchen kann. Aber immerhin war ich zu Besuch bei einigen meiner Nachbarn in der ART FACTORY. Dies hier ist das Atelier von Wolfgang Peter; ich fand seine Arbeiten schon wunderbar, als ich sie das erste Mal gesehen habe, habe mich aber nicht getraut zu fragen, ob ich Fotos machen dürfte. Diesmal hab ich es getan. Am Liebsten mag ich seine kleinen Kästen - Hoffnung, Utopia uvm. 

Morgen gibt es nochmal die Chance, ihn zu besuchen - und Hunderte anderer Künstler in Köln. Und an den nächsten zwei Wochenenden haben dann andere Ateliers geöffnet - wer in der Nähe wohnt, ein Besuch lohnt sich wirklich!
