Travel log: Paris, Saint-Merry



The exhibition in the Kolumba museum in Cologne reminded me of another exhibition of modern art I had seen in a sacral building in Paris in Saint-Merry: "Nha Terra" (our world), an exhibition of Berder Nedjma who had portrayed people from Guinée Bissau - a small country at the African west coast. The photos were utterly impressive and perfectly arranged within the church building.

Die Ausstellung im Kolumbamuseum in Köln hat mich an eine andere Ausstellung moderner Kunst in einem Sakralgebäude erinnert, die ich vor zwei Jahren in Paris gesehen habe, in Saint-Mery: "Nha Terra" (unsere Erde). Berder Nedjma hatte Fotos von Bewohnern von Guinée Bissau gemacht - einem kleinen Staat an der afrikanischen Westküste. Die Fotos waren unglaublich eindrucksvoll und in dem Kirchengebäude wunderbar gehängt.

Tolle Portraits und die Kirche ist ein würdiger und guter (= richtiger) Platz für eine solche Ausstellung!
