Collagensamstag! Und noch kann ich aus dem Kreativwochenvorrat zehren. Wie immer gibt es eine #15fünfzehn-Liste bei Sabine/ Miss Herzfrisch, und wie immer können die meisten unserer Collagen für 49,- € erworben werden ... schaut auch bei den anderen vorbei!

#15fuenfzehn am Sonntag
Wie lange ein Collagentreffen so 'nachhallt' ... hier sind noch zwei Collagen, und ich habe ganz neue Farbkombinationen entdeckt, die ich für den Mustermittwoch weiter testen werde.
Diese zwei Collagen sind auch noch gegen eine Spende für den Jemen oder ein anderes Hilfsprojekt zu erhalten, dann habe ich mein Oktoberversprechen eingelöst.
Die #15fünfzehn-Collagen-Ausstellung in der "Umleitung" ist abgehängt, aber ich kann schon einmal ankündigen, dass es im Januar die nächste geben wird - und Workshops. Ich freu mich!

Sunprint experiments
Vielleicht hätten wir die Sonnendruck-Mailart-Aktion im Sommer machen sollen, wenn die Sonne scheint? Oh, wait ... theoretisch sollte ja gerade Sommer sein. Aber vielleicht kommen noch die schönen Sommertage, an denen ich nicht 7 Webseiten gleichzeitig mache und ungestört weitere Sunprints mache. Das sind aktuelle Ergebnisse. Ich bin von Seidenfarbe auf Inkodye umgestiegen, weil ich damit eher Farbflächen gestalten kann und mit Fotos experimentieren kann. Zu chaotisch? Was ich bisher von Euren Sonnendrucken gesehen habe, war so ehrfurchtgebietend ordentlich.

Maybe we should have planned the sunprint mail art project for sunny days in sommer? Oh, wait ... it's supposed to be summer, but it rains most of the time. Maybe the quiet and hot sommerdays are in the near future, maybe I'm luck enough to not having 7 websites to handle at the same time but a full day for experiments. This is what I did so far. I switched from silk dye to Inkodye which enables me to more control over my colour fields and experiments with photos. Maybe it's too messy? What I have seen as for the mail art project has been awe-inspiring neat.

Chinoiserie Wandbehang ~ chinoiserie wall hanging
Und hier ist der komplette Stoff - Rosen und Blätter sind gedruckt, der Rest ist mit Acrylfarbe gemalt. Ich habe aus Bambusstäben, Kordel und Quasten eine standesgemäße Aufhängung fabriziert. Ich kann es kaum abwarten, noch einmal so ein Teil zu machen.

And here's the complete fabric - printed roses and leaves, the rest is painted with acrylic color. I added some bamboo sticks and tassles for a befitting mounting. Can't wait to make another one.

Das ist das Projekt, das ich eigentlich von Anfang an machen wollte, als Michaela 'Rosen' als Junimuster angekündigt hatte. Eigentlich noch viel länger, den Chinoiserie-Muster (gibt es ein deutsches Wort für Chinoiserie?) faszinieren und inspirieren mich seit Jahren. Hier also die Rosenmuster, das fertige Werk hängt jetzt hinter meinem Bett, das gibts dann morgen zu sehen.

This is the project I wanted to do initially when Michaela announced her 'roses' topic for June's Pattern Wednesday. In fact, Chinoiserie Patterns is something I wanted to do for years, and here we are. The finished fabric now hangs behind me bed, you can see the full pattern tomorrow.

Mustermittwoch: Rosen/ Pattern Wednesday: roses
Letzte Woche habe ich die Tattoo-Teller abgeholt, die ich vor langer Zeit bei Ellen im Rahmen einer Installation ausgestellt hatte (siehe Video unten). Ich hatte mexikanisch inspirierte Muster verwendet, die Totenköpfe mit Rosen kombiniert hatten, eine sehr coole Kombination, wie ich finde.

Last week I picked up the tattoo plates I had displayed in an art installation with Ellen a long time ago (see video below). I had used Mexican inspired patterns that combined skulls and roses, a pretty cool combination.
