inspiration week, day8: 2 min DIY abstract art

 

Last week, Anna asked me about 'innovation'. I told her that for me, this is seeing things in a different light or bringing two different things together to form a new one. That's what happened when I saw those beautiful rectangle pieces of furniture in De Toonkamer. I loved their shadows, and thought that bringing them from 3D to 2D would make a beautiful piece of abstract art.

Letzte Woche fragte mich Anna nach 'Innivation'. Ich sagte ihr, für mich bedeute das, Dinge auf andere Weise zu sehen oder zwei verschiedene Dinge zusammenzubringen, um etwas Neues entstehen zu lassen. Das ist geschehen, als ich diese schönen rechteckigen Möbel in De Toonkamer gesehen habe. Ich mochte ihre Schatten, und dachte, wenn man sie von 3D auf 2D bringen würde, würden schöne abstrakte Kunstwerke entstehen.

And here we go ... ~ Und los geht's.

What you need is some MDF rectangles, again, wallpaper paste and very thin white tissue paper. ~ Was Ihr braucht, sind wieder Rechtecke aus MDF, Tapetenkleister und weißes Seidenpapier.

Glue layers of tissue paper over the MDF plate. Since the paper is half transparent, you will get a layer/ color effect. ~ Lagen von Seidenpapier über die MDF-Platte kleben. Da das Papier halbtransparent ist, werdet Ihr einen Lagen-/ Farbeffekt bekommen.

Let dry completely. ~ Komplett trocknen lassen.

Cut the paper off the edges and carefully peel of a bit of the top paper layer. That's it! ~ Das Papier rund um die Kanten abschneiden und vorsichtig ein bißchen von der obersten Papierlage abziehen. Das war's!
